Thanksgiving Place Card Favors

Hello everyone!  A quick post to show you place card favors that I made for the Thanksgiving dinner table.
Thanksgiving place card favors
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the pillow boxes that I sized so that I can fit two on a 8.5"x11" cardstock.  It is the perfect size for gift cards too.  I think I will be using that size for Christmas.
I also used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the labels from the pie box and labels designs from the Silhouette design store.  The font that I used to type every body's name is Lavanderia.  I absolutely love this font!  Until my handwriting skills improved, I will be making use of this font.  I changed the color of the font to brown and made sure it is set to no cut.  Love, love my Silhouette Cameo!!!
I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves Dies to cut out the leaves from both red and orange cardstock.  Then I used the assembly line process of putting the pillow boxes together.  First, I used adhered the box together and used Distress Walnut ink to ink up the boxes and the leaves.  I also used Distress Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade for the leaves.  Then I wrapped brown twine onto the boxes before adhering the name label and leaves to the pillow boxes.
To finish up, I filled the boxes with chocolate.

I used my box from Simon Says Stamp Card kit box to put them all in.  It was the perfect size!!
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

Happy Birthday Shaker With Fuse Tool

Hello everyone!  Along with everyone else, I fell in love with sequins and have an abundance of them.  So when I saw the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, I thought it would be perfect way to use them up and also, use it for my pocket letters.
First, I made the shaker pocket and my Fuse Tool and filled with confetti and sequins.  I glue the shaker onto the pattern paper.  Then I stamped and color the cats from Mama Elephants Three Amigo set.  After I placed the cats onto the card, I wrapped the card with silver thread.  I adhered the card onto a white cardbase.

Apple of My Pie

Hello everyone!  I love autumn and all that is associated with the season.  So when the Simon Says Stamp November Card kit came out, I was in love, especially since it has all my favorite icons of autumn.  I also love the sentiment that I used for my card.  Since I am still on my watercolor kick, I couldn't wait to color these images with my watercolors.
I stamped the apple pie first and masked it off to stamp the apples and leaves.  I watercolor the images before placing the card on a card base layered with pattern cardstock from the kit.  I finished the card by adding strips of cardstock to frame the image.  I decided to keep it simple but I loved the way it came out.

Hoots and Wags

Hello everyone!  I'm back with another one.  I made a tri-fold card for my son with all of his favorite critters.  It took a while to color in all these critters but it was so worth it!

I have to admit that I am so enamored with these critters!  I love looking at this card.  They are just soooo stinky cute!!!

Take a 5.5"x12" cardstock and score on the long side at 2",4",8" and 10".  On the short side of the cardstock 1.5" from the end, cut at the 2" score line to the 10" score line.  Do this again on the other side of the short side.  Fold up the card at the score lines like the picture below.
I layered each section with teal cardstock or pattern paper.  Then I placed all the critters in each section.

I didn't mean to have sentiments showing when it is completely folded but I still love this card.
I used my watercolor pencils, watercolors and Copic markers to color the critters.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting!

Autumn Themed Favor Bags

Hello everyone!  I’m sorry for missing a post last week.  I think I will put out a disclaimer saying that I will try my best to have a post every week, but there will be a week or two that I will not be able to post.  Lately, my priority in life has changed and finding the time to post have been difficult, and sometimes the mojo is just not there.  However, I do try to do something creative most days but not necessarily complete pieces of work, just to keep my own sanity.  I do try to post those work in progress pieces on my Instagram account.  Since this is just for pleasure, I am trying not to stress out over not posting.  Anyway, that being said, I have been busy making cards and other papercrafts.  I just made these bags of goodies for my friends and that was before I saw Jennifer McGuire Share Handmade Kindness challenge.  Isn't Jennifer a sweetheart and a half?!!  Anyway, it was perfect timing!  Also, the November Simon Says Stamp Card kit came at a perfect time, since the sentiments and stamps were just what I wanted for my goodies bags.  Yup, I used my card kit within the week that I got it, another record for me.  :-D  Anywho, I wanted to give a little bit more than a card for these buddies of mine and party favor bags doesn’t have to be just for parties, right?!  Though, being with these friends of mine is like a party in itself.  Love you, girls!

I made the bags with my Silhouette Cameo, using design #37991.  I know that it has been a while since I used my machine but yes, I still love it!  After the bag was cut out, I stamped the sentiments and leaves all over it.
I fold up the bags and then die cut some leaves with Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies on watercolor paper.  I used Distress ink to color the leaves by smooching the die cuts to the ink.
I adhered the leaves to the bag closure.
I tied a piece of twine(?) into a bow on top of the bag to complete it.  I got these "twine"a long time ago for another project and don't remember what they are called but it was from a craft store.
I added a shaker note card to the inside of the bag for my friends.  To make the shaker note card, I watercolor and stamped on a die cut made with Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle die.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Written In Watercolor set.  I just added a couple strokes of watercolor to the card and it was just the right amount of color.
I placed the card into a clear pouch along with sequins and used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool to seal the pocket shut.  I thought it was a cute way to send a fun note.
This was a fun project and I am thinking of using it for Thanksgiving if I don't have any other ideas.  :-)
