Cute Valentine Cards

Hello everyone!  I was recently inspired by a video from Vicky Papaioannou where she created 10 cards using the card kit from Simon Says Stamp.  I decided to go back to my card kit from February and used the materials from that kit.  I created these three cards from the pattern paper and used one of the sentiment.  One thing I learned from the video from Vicky is to keep it simple and it is okay to use stickers, not everything have to be stamped.  I feel like I always am trying to do something different and the card had to be a long process for it to be a good card.   I finally gave myself the okay to chill out and appreciate it, even though the card took me only minutes to make.  I also used a heart dies set from Little B.  I love how they packaged their dies with a magnetic sheet and have embossing possibilities for their die cuts too.
I used my My Favorite Things stitched rectangle die to cut the pattern paper to create a background.  Then I used the heart dies to cut hearts in pink and red and used Distress ink to add color to the edge.  I used the stamps from Winnie&Walter to stamp the sentiment on the pink heart.
One of them I used a rub-on from the February kit 's Crate Paper Kiss Kiss collection.  I've never used rub-ons before, but I love how easy it was.

I stamped the dogs and color them with Copic markers.  I used foam adhesive to placed the dogs onto the card after the hearts were adhered to the card.

Lots of Love With Winter Stamps

Hello everyone!  One of my New Year's Resolutions is to be better about what craft supplies to purchase.  I'm running out of room and also, I realize that I have a huge backlog of stamps that I have hardly used or have not used at all.  I know, I'm so bad!  I'm trying to be better about it.  I try really hard to restrain myself from purchasing everything that I love and there is a lot that I love coming from the CHA show.  :-D  Lately, I have sat on purchases for a few months and sure enough, there was always something else that I liked even more.  Also, I try to purchase items in categories that I don't have or stamp sets that can be used in multiple occasions.  For example, last year I was searching for butterflies stamps since I don't really have any in photopolymer and only bought that along with others I don't have in different categories.  I know eventually I will have to sell some of ones I don't use or donate which is really hard since I do have a slight touch of hoarding tendencies. :-D  Hey, don't judge.  :-)  Anyway, that being said.  I loved the Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together set and couldn't resist getting it.  Here I am stretching it to use with a Happy Valentine's Day sentiment inside.  Also, I used some stamps in my stash that I've never used that I got a long time ago.  So this card is a win-win.

First, I stamped the background with Hero Arts Tiny Star Background stamp and Versamark ink on a stitched rectangle die cut.  I embossed it with Zing white embossing powder and inked up the background with blending tool and Distress ink (broken china and chipped sapphire).
I die cut some stitched hills with MFT Die-namics Stitched Snow Drifts and placed them onto the card.  Then I stamped the trees, penguin and sled with hearts and color them in with Copic markers.  I placed them onto the card and added the sentiment from Avery Elle Lots of Love set.  I finished the card with Wink of Stella on the trees and hearts.

Floral Slider Birthday card

Hello everyone!  I wanted to make a slider card so I searched for instructions on youtube and I found Darlene Devries' video on how to make one.  I was inspired by Darlene Devries' post of double slider card.  I used the same measurements and followed her instructions on making a slider.
I love Altenew's Beautiful Day stamp set and couldn't wait to use it on this card.  With the warm weather, I feel like spring is around the corner but I got a feeling it is just the beginning of winter of yet to come.

I cut out all the cardstock to the sizes that Darlene specified.  I stamped the flowers from Altenew Beautiful Day, the hummingbird and butterflies from WPlus9 Flora and Fauna 2 set and color everything that can be colored with Copic markers.
I used Distress Ink (Blue China) and blending tool to add color to the cardstock before stamping the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits sets.

For the main sentiment, I die cut the word, "birthday", from Mama Elephant and layered the die cuts 4 times.  I stamped the "happy" sentiment from Papertrey Ink Stylish Sentiments: Birthday set.

I love how it came out!  Not bad for my first time. ;-)

Music Notes Card Set

Hello everyone!  I'm back today with another gift set that I made for my sons' piano teacher.  I did tell you that my Silhouette Cameo was working overtime.  This card set was simple to put together and perfect for a guy.
Music Notes Card Set Made With Silhouette Cameo
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the music notes and layered them together to give them more dimension.  I love the Silhouette Design Store and my Cameo!!!

I also used my Cameo to cut the envelope box to place the cards in.

I love how simple and elegant this set looks together.

Winter Wishes Snowman

Hello everyone!  Santa was very kind to me this year and got me some new stamps and dies.  Both of which I used in this card, are MFT stitched snow drifts dies and Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman stamp set.  I created these cards as part of my thank you set for my friends.  I also created extra for me to use as thank you cards.  It was a quick card which made it fairly easy to mass produced
First, I layered a white card base with cardstock that was embossed with Darice snowflake swirl embossing folder.  Then I cut a snow hill with MFT Stitched Snow Drift die before I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman set.
I placed the snow hill onto the card with foam adhesive.  Finally I stamped the snowman and color him in with Copic markers before placing him onto the card with foam adhesive.
I created multiple cards with this design since I liked it so much and gave some away as gifts.
I placed them into this envelope box that I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Santa Petal Box Place Card Favors

Hello everyone!  Happy New Year!!!  I apologize for being MIA for so long.  I had to focus on my family and with the holidays, it was getting too hard to post.  I have been working on quite a bit of papercraft projects along the way though.  I'm going to try to post most of the things that I made as gifts in the next few posts.  First, I'm going to go back in time a little and share what I made for my family as party favor place cards.  They came out adorable and it was easy to put together too.  I love my Silhouette Cameo and I had it working over time between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I used Lori Whitlock's Santa Petal Box to cut the petal box on red cardstock.  Then I cut out the buttons and belt on black cardstock and the buckle on yellow cardstock.  I curled the petal first before I adhered all the accessories.
I created the tag using several different designs (Special Delivery Stamp and Christmas/holiday tags) and sized it to fit on top of my box.  The font that I used for the name was Lavanderia.   It is my "go to" font for scripted personalization.  I tied the tag on with DMC gold thread.  It was the perfect size because you can slip out one of the side to get to the goodies inside without untying the tag.  Perfect for those who can't wait.  :-D
I sized this box so that it can be cut on a 8.5"x11" cardstock.  It was just the right size for some larger chocolate pieces.
I love lining them up and here are some of them in a box ready to go.  I made 26 of these and absolutely love how they came out.
