Birthday Balloons

Hello everyone!  I am hoping this will be the last crazy week and life can get back to normal but there is no such thing when you got two young boys.  Anyway, I loved the floral design birthday card I made the last time and decided to make this more generic with the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits set.  Love the font of the sentiment in this set.
First I cut out a stitched circle with my Silhouette Cameo and used it as a place mark in order to stamp the sentiment before placing it onto the card with foam adhesive.  Then I stamped a bunch of balloons, color them with Copic markers and cut them out.  I placed them onto the card before adding some silver threads and adding a bow to tie them together.
I finished the card with sequins and gems.  I love how simple it was and the way it came out.

Skiing and Snowboarding Critters!

Hello everyone!  Both my boys love skiing and with the lack of snow in our area this year, they were jealous of any location getting snow.  They were super happy to finally get some snow recently and couldn't wait to play in it.  For one of my son's birthday, I thought I create the snow scene with his favorite activity.  When I saw the Simon Says Stamp Skater Kids set of these skate boarders, I knew I wanted to turn them into snow boarders and skiers.  This card was so much fun to make and I love these critters.  I had to include all his favorites.

First, I stamped and heat emboss the night sky using Hero Arts background stamp.  Then I used Distress inks(Broken China and Blue Sapphire) to bring out the stars.  I die cut the hills with MFT Stitched Hills dies and placed them on the card with foam adhesive for the top hill after I stamped the sentiment from WPlus9 Winter Pal set.  I stamped part of the critters and drew in skis, poles and snowboard. Then I colored them with Copic markers.  I stamped the balloons from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits and trees from Lawn Fawn Toboggan Together and colored them in as well.

I placed everything into the card with foam adhesive and glue.  I finished the card with Wink of Stella and crystal lacquer on the balloons.

Birthday Road Trip

Hello everyone!  I met a group of lovely ladies at my gym last year who also takes spin with me.  We became fast friends and when I saw this stamp I had to get it.  Since one of them is having a birthday coming up, I knew I had to pull this stamp out. I love the Art Impression stamps and lately, discovered their whole girlfriend line.  They all totally remind me of the ladies.
First I stamped the Art Impression image and colored them in with Copic markers.  Then I masked them off to create the sky with Distress Blue China ink and a cloud stencil.  I used my Copic markers to create the ground and grass.
Then I stamped the presents and balloons from Simon Says Stamp sets and colored them with Copic markers.  I drew the strings in after I placed the presents and balloons on the card with foam adhesive.  I finished the card front with Wink of Stella on the balloons and presents.  I also added crystal lacquer on the balloons for more dimension.
For the inside, I created a pop-up sentiment with my Silhouette Studio and cut that out with the Silhouette Cameo.
I added sparkles to the letters with my clear Wink of Stella.
I absolutely love the way the card turned out and couldn't wait for my friend to see it.  She and my friends loved it as much as me when they saw it.

Watercolor Leaves

Hello everyone!  I am in the middle of taking the Watercolors for Card Makers: Intermediates Techniques Online Card Classes and having a great time learning all these wonder techniques from Dawn and guest artists.  I posted most of my class work on my Instagram.  The card below is made based on the lesson from Debby Hughes on Day 4.

I used a Sizzix leaves die and cut out a plastic template that I used as a stencil to color the leaves with watercolors.  Then I mounted the panel with foam onto the card that has been stamped with MFT Garden Flourish background stamp.  I added the sentiment that I die cut with Simon Says Stamp die to the card and finished the card with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling sequins.

Congrats Onesies

Hello everyone!  It has been a while since I made a baby card since most of my friends are done with having babies.  Since I joined the gym, I met some people who are younger than me and are in that baby stage.  I knew I wanted to make a card with a onesie so I went on Pinterest to be inspired.   I found this great post from Stamping Dani with a free cutting file for a onesie box.  Great site for inspiration and some really nice free cutting files.  Anyway, it was perfect for a party favor but I wanted a shape card.  It has been a while since I made a shaped card.  So I cut out the onesies only digitally before sending it to my Silhouette Cameo.
After cutting the onsies and the bibs out, I stamped and color the elephant from WPlus9 Unforgettable set.  I placed it onto the bib with foam adhesive.
Then I die cut the sentiment from Hero Arts Stamp & Cut -Congrats and glue it on the card.
I used Distress ink (Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed) to add a bit of color to the edges of the card.
I really did enjoy making this shape card and hope to do more of them.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting!
