Warm Fuzzies

Hello, crafty friends!  I decided to make use of my Simon Says Stampe October 2016 card kit again and used some of the supplies.  It was a last minute thing to make this card since I have been dealing with a cold again.  Seriously, I am so done with colds and coughs.  If only it is as easy as that.  :-D  Anyway, I used this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to put this card together.
After gluing all the pattern  paper and cardstock onto the card base following the sketch, I stamped the sentiment on a thin strip of cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Then I stamped the squirrel and fussy cut it out before adhering it.
I finished the card with one of the acorns from Little B.

Counting the Years Masculine Birthday Card

Hello, friends!  While I was at it, I made this birthday card with the same sketch for this week from Freshly Made Sketches.  Leaning more toward the masculine side and counting the years for this
I stamped the sentiment on vellum with Brilliance black ink and placed it on top of the tree trunk cross section.

Happy Halloween

Hello, friends!  I normally don't make Halloween cards but after seeing this owl and bunny from Lawn Fawn, I had to color them and put them on a card. I made this galaxy background that I learned from Kristina Werner a while ago and thought it was a perfect background to pair with my Halloween scene.

I used  this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to lay out my pattern paper on the card base.  Then I stamped my critters out and color them with my Copic markers before cutting them out.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on dark brown cardstock before placing it on the galaxy background along with the critters.

Card #2 Made From SSS October 2016 Card Kit

Hello, again.  Here is another card that I made with the Simon Says Stamp October 2016 card kit.  I love the acorn by Little B that comes in the set.

Simple masking off a whole section of the card and stamping along the mask on both sides.  I used Mama Elephants Thanks die to create the sentiment and stack 3 of the die cuts to give it dimension.  I finished the card with Nuvo.

Card #1 Made From SSS October 2016 Card Kit

Hello, crafty friends!  I know the burning question on everyone's mind...who did Negan take down on The Walking Dead...ok besides that; maybe where have you been???  :-)  Well, I'm sorry for being MIA for so long.  This summer and the start of the school year have been crazy and tough.  This summer we had a death in the family and later, illnesses and these main events have destroyed any mojo I had left for making cards.  Also, I have been running around a lot more so I had less time in my craft room.  However, I have been doing some other creative things to relieve my creative needs, mostly learning and practicing watercoloring and drawing.  Anyway, now that things are starting to settle down and I can get back to a normal schedule of sort, I can share some of my creations.  I thought a good way to get back into card making is doing it on World Card Making Day, especially with my Simon Says Stamp October 2016 Card Kit that arrived this week.  I'm determined to use them as soon as I can and get a few cards out of them.

For this card, I used a circle die to trace a circle as a guide for my wreath.  I stamped the biggest image first on the wreath first and filled up the circle to create a wreath.  I cut a ribbon tail on one end of the cardstock and stamped the sentiment.  I used foam tape to place the ribbon onto the cardbase covered with pattern paper from the kit.
